Obituary for Lenora E. Anderson -Unknown Date and Newspaper

Mrs. Oscar H. Anderson Lenore E. Anderson, the daughter of Vollie and Mary Nichols was born in Kendrick, Idaho on October 6, 1891, and passed away October 27, 1971 in Osceola, Nebraska. Lenore spent her childhood days and attended school in Idaho. Later she moved to Seattle, Washington and made her home there. While working in Seattle, she met Oscar H. Anderson. On July 19, 1926 they were united in marriage in Seattle, Washington. After their marriage they moved to Osceola, Nebraska where Mr. Anderson was in the grocery business. Since that time she has made Polk County her home with the exception of a few years when they lived in Norfolk, Nebraska. She and Mr. Anderson were members of the St. Paul Lutheran Church, in Osceola, Nebraska. Lenora had been in failing health for several years and since the passing of her husband in September, 1968 she has made her home at the Good Samaritan Center in Osceola, Nebraska. Lenora was a kind and patient person and always considerate of others. She dearly loved her many nieces and nephews and did many acts of kindness for them. Mrs. Anderson leaves to mourn her passing and greatly missing her are seven sister-in-laws; Mrs. Mabel Anderson, Omaha, Nebraska; Mrs. Hilma Hermann, Hayward, California; Mrs. Selma Peterson, Mrs. Mary Gerdes, Mrs. Albert Anderson, all of Osceola, Nebraska; Mrs. Herman Anderson, Mrs. Wilmer Anderson of Stromsburg, Nebraska; Three brothers-in-law, Mr. Albert Anderson, Mr .John Anderson, of Osceola, Nebraska; Mr .Wilmer Anderson, Stromsburg, Nebraska; and many nieces and nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, father and mother and an infant sister. Funeral services were held from the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Osceola, Nebraska on Sunday October 31 at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor G.M. Christensen Officiating. Softly and Tenderly, Gathering Flowers for the Masters Bouquet were sung by Mr .Wesley Peterson. Mrs. Howard Boden was at the organ. Escorts were Mr. Martin Jones, Mr. Enoch Anderson, Mr. Glen Wobig, Mr. Otto B. Nelson, Mr. Clarence Carlson, Mr. Kenneth Peterson. Interment in the Osceola Cemetery with Kepner-Roberts Funeral Home in charge.
