MOUNTAIN VIEW – Wayne T. Allen, 87, of Mountain View, died Monday, March 4, 2002, at his home.

Born Aug. 31, 1914, at West Point, he was the son of Virgil Warren Allen and Addie Blanch Clemmens. He was a construction worker.

Survivors include his wife, Wilma Pipkin Allen; four sons, Charles W. Allen of Mountain View, James T. Allen of St. Petersburg, Fla., Dalton L. Allen of Lakemoor, Ill., and Robert G. Allen of Little Rock; three daughters, Betty S. Woodruff of Upper Marlboro, Md., Glenda S. Fozzard of Carterville, Ill., and Mary F. Depner of Crystal Lake, Ill.; a brother, James E. Allen of Melrose Park, Ill.; 18 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Naomi L. Allen; and a brother, Forrest Norman Allen.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home Chapel in Mountain View with Afton Treat officiating. Burial will be at Flatwoods Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Chris Allen, Krystal Bidro, Phillip Bidro, Mike Woodruff, Jeff Allen and Stacey Allen.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Allen, Scott Allen, Robert Allen, Dalton Allen, Charles Allen and Mary Depner.
