George's obituary appears in The Abilene Reporter-News, Abilene, Texas, 3 Jun 1958, on page 38 under the headline Ex-County Farmer Dies; Lamesa Rites.
George was the son of Ananias Jackson Booth, Jr. and Salena Ann Elizabeth Atkins. On 23 May 1915, George married Lizzie Blanche Laramore at Moro, Taylor County, Texas. George and Lizzie had the following children: Robert Elmer, Mattie Armour, Vallie Lucille, Enoch Jackson, Calvin Odell, Lillie Faye, and Granville Lee.
George's obituary notes that he moved from Taylor County to Dawson County in 1929 and had been engaged in farming.
Lizzie, his wife, preceded him in death, dying 30 Aug 1951.
George died in Lamesa General Hospital at age 67. He had been in the hospital for 2 1/2 weeks, but had been ill since December 1957.
The obituary lists the following survivors: four sons, R. E. of Welch, Tex., E. J. of Winters, C. O. of Lamesa and Granville of Lubbcck: three daughters, Mrs. Mattie Larry of Brownfield, Mrs. Lucille Driver of Welch and Mrs. Fay Gibson of Lubbock; two sisters; one half-brother; 18 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church at Lamesa. The obituary included no burial location other than Lamesa.
