Carl Barry, 73
Carl "Ted" Barry, 73, of 105 N. Central Avenue in Connersville, died at 9:50 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, 1995 unexpectedly at his home.
Born March 29, 1922 in Milroy, he was the son of Edmund and Goldie Hankins Barry. He married Leda Muriel Tremper April 5, 1946 and she survives. He attended Rushvllle schools. He was a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers veteran having served in the Rhineland and Central European campaigns during World War II. He had worked at American Kitchens for 17 years until it closed in 1958. He later worked at McQuay-Norris for 23 years until retiring in 1983.
Surviving besides his wife are one son: Randy J. Barry of Brownsburg; one daughter: Tonda (Mrs. Leon) Metcalf of Connersvllle; three grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
Services are 11 a.m. Thursday at Miller Funeral Home in Connersville with Robert Wright of the Veterans Council officiating. Burial is at Dale Cemetery where military graveside rites will be observed. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
