Benjamin Edward Crubaugh was born in 1985 to Gerald Edward "Jerry" Crubaugh and Phyllis A. "Chris" Landess. He was the second of their three children. His parents divorced when Ben was 6 years old and he stayed with his mother. Ben and Erica L. Cisielsko had one child, Madison Grace Crubaugh, born in 2007.
Ben committed suicide at the age of 27. His body parts were donated through LifeNet so that he could live on in other people.
