Ben committed suicide at the age of 27. His body parts were donated through LifeNet so that he could live on in other people.

Benjamin Edward Crubaugh CHARLESTON - Benjamin Edward Crubaugh, 27, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Memorial service will be held at 2:30 P.M. Sunday, September 30, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 1106 Yeamans Hall, Hannahan, SC 29406 with Rev. Craig Versprille officiating. Mr. Crubaugh was born in Bolingbrook, IL, to Gerald Edward Crubaugh and Phyllis A. Crubaugh. He was a sheet metal worker. He is survived by his father, Gerald Edward Crubaugh; mother, Phyllis A. Crubaugh; other parent, Laura J. Bantens; daughter, Madison Grace Crubaugh; and brothers, Joshua Crubaugh and Daniel Crubaugh. Milton Shealy Funeral Home and Crematory is assisting the family with arrangements.
