Leona Gay Edie, daughter of Isaac and Nellie Edie, was born Nov. 26, 1907 at DuBois and died Dec. 14, 1968 at the age of 61 years and 18 days. She had been in ill health for some time. Most of her life was spent in Pawnee County, NE.
She was married May 6, 1931 to Alvin Antholz in Sabetha, KS. Four children were born. Mrs. Walter Porter of Long Beach, CA. Robert and Mrs. Larry Koeneke of Pawnee City and Darlene of Seneca, KS.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church at Pawnee City, NE.
Preceding her in death were her parents, five sisters and 2 brothers.
Suvivors include her husband, Alvin, 3 daughters and one son; a sister, Mrs. Anna Ray of Summerfield, KS. 2 brothers, Earl Edie of Oxnard, Ca. and Lawrence Edie of Santa Maria, Ca. and 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at United Methodist Church in Pawnee City, NE. conducted by Rev. R.H. Lingard. Burial was in the Pawnee City, NE. Cemetery.
NOTE: 2 infant children preceded them in death.
