Jennette Williams was born in 1808 in CT, to Elisha and Lucia Williams. Her known siblings are/were sisters Abigail Williams Vanderhoof and Margaret Ruth Williams Andrews.

About 1826 Jennette was wed to George Brong in New York. Their first daughter - Sarah Jane (Amos Washburn) was born in New Brunswick, Canada in 1828. Their son Charles Erwin (Mary Albina Blakeman) was born in Steuben Co. NY, as was daughter, Mary Elizabeth (Amos Washburn & Hiram Pratt).

In 1833, the Brongs located to Berrien County MI. There Lucy Anna Maria (Charles William Day), Henry Vanderhoof (Charity Elizabeth Garrison & Nancy Malissa Howard Smith) and Stephen Williams (Martha Ann Curtis Garrison) were born.

George and Jennette were the first settlers in Oronoko Twp. about 1833. The First Church Services were held in their home by Rev. Mr. Cobb. George Brong was a blacksmith by trade. By 1837, the Brongs were in Hills Corners/Weesaw Twp. Berrien Co. MI.

Sarah Jane was wed to the son of another early settler family, Amos Washburn. After the untimely death of Sarah and baby Jane during childbirth (with three other living children), Amos wed her sister Mary Elizabeth. Charles Erwin Brong wed neighbor - Mary Albina Blakeman. Henry V was married to Charity Garrison (McComber) and Nancy Smith. Stephen W wed widow Martha Ann Curtis Garrison.

Lucy Anna Maria had a daughter, Florence "Flora" Belle Tucker and later married Charles William Day - They had a son, Charles William "Will" Day. Father George Brong died in 1846 and is interred at Burke Cemetery, few stones can be found today. Jennette lived another thirty-six years. She is also interred at Burke Cemetery.
