The body of Linda Teresa Aguilar, 21, formerly of Clarkston, was found Sunday at Gold Beach in southwest Oregon, possibly the victim of a homicide.

She was the daughter of Anna Marie Maguire of Clarkston and Fernando Aguilar of California and the step-daughter of John Maguire of Clarkston.

She left Clarkston about two years ago and was living at Port Orford in Southwestern Oregon at the time of her death.

The Oregon State Police and the district attorney in Curry County are investigating. Neither would reveal any details Wednesday.

She was born Feb. 28, 1959, at Clarkston, and lived there until moving to Oregon.

She attended Holy Family grade school and Clarkston High School, through 1977. She was a communicant of the Holy Family Catholic Church of Clarkston.

Survivors in addition to her parents include a son, Joshua P. Aguilar of Port Orford, four sisters, Marie Eggart of Clarkston; Alvie Acheson of Hermiston, Ore.; Alma Aguilar of Seattle and Angie Kane of Yuma, Ariz.; two brothers, Fernando Aguilar of Thailand and Ernie Aguilar of Clarkston; grandparents Albert and Josephine Caranza of Mabton, Wash.; a step-brother, John Maguire of Clarkston, a step-sister, Ann Zeliff of Clarkston and several and uncles and one niece.
