Jeannette B. (Rouisse) Bacon, 88, formerly of Parker Street, a onetime rectory assistant, died yesterday in Quaboag on the Common, West Brookfield, after an illness. Her husband of 26 years, Charles Bacon, died in 1954. She leaves a son, Paul C. Bacon of Amherst; two daughters, Rita Pikul of Palmer and Doris Yakum of Springfield; eight grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; nephews and nieces. She was born in Ware, daughter of Napoleon and Marie (Deslauriers) Rouisse, and lived here before moving to West Brookfield about 1996. Mrs. Bacon was once a domestic assistant for five years at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Rectory. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. The funeral will be Thursday from Charbonneau Funeral Home, 30 Pleasant St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Pleasant Street. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery. Calling hours are 4 to 7 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 332 North Lauderdale, PO Box 318, Memphis, TN 38101.
