Joseph Hudgins Almgren of Redding died Monday at Memorial Hospital in Redding. He was 63.
No services will be held.
Inurnment will be at Lawncrest Memorial Park.
Born Nov 28, 1916, in Manhattan, Kan., he came to Shasta County 35 years ago. He worked in the maintenance department of the California Division of Highways for 25 years.
He was a member of the Amateur Radio Relay League.
He is survived by his wife, Evelyn of Redding; sons, Richard S of Central Valley, Ted C of Yorba Linda, and Gary A of Oxford, England; sister, Frances Grasso of Spotswood, NJ; brother, Robert Andrews of Silver Springs, Md; mother, Irene Andrews of Burtonville, Md; and seven grandchildren.
