OBITUARY, Rushville [IN] Republican, Saturday, June 29, 1996:
Marion E. Clark, 79, of Brownsburg, died Friday, June 28, 1996 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Indianapolis.
Born in Andersonville Aug. 16, 1916, he was the son of Woodson Clark and the former Anna Bell Croddy. He was married to Phyllis Williams Clark, and she preceded him in death. On Jan. 1, 1972, he married Betty E. Calpha, who survives. He was self-employed in advertising for 60 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Indianapolis and belonged to the Andersonville Masonic Lodge for 55 years. He also was a member of the Scottish Rite.
Survivors besides his wife include three sons: Dale W. Clark, Orlando, Fla., Dean E. Clark, Brownsburg, and Andrew J. Clark, Brownsburg; a daughter: Emily A. Callahan, Indianapolis; and seven grandchildren.
Services are 10 a.m. Tuesday in Hopewell Cemetery in Richland Township with Dale Clark officiating. Visitation is 4-8 p.m. Monday at Matthews Mortuary, 402 E. Main St., Brownsburg.
