IRENE O'HARA BARSKE, age 83, died Oct. 24, 1970
SOURCE October 25,1970 Bridgeport Sunday Post Obituary:
"Mrs. Irene O'Hara Barske, 83, of 322 Marina Village, widow of Vincent F. Barske, died yesterday in St. Vincent's hospital. Services will take place Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in the George J. Smith and Son funeral home 135 Broad Street, Milford [Connecticut], and at 9 o'clock in St. Mary's Church, Milford, with a requiem Mass. Burial will be in St. Michael's cemetery. Born in Bridgeport, Mrs. Barske was a life-long resident of this city. Survivors are a sister, Mrs. Anna Kallenbach of Shelton; and several nieces and nephews."
It appears that there was no issue from this Barske marriage.
1870 U.S. Census Bridgeport, CT. JOHN O'HARA age 23, born in "England", married within the year: "dec.", machinist, parents were "foreign born." Wife BRIDGET [COATES] O'HARA age 21, born in Ireland "domestic duties." Also living with them is MARY COATES age 24, born in Ireland, works in "Sew. Mach. Fac." [sister to Bridget].

Annie Coates age 26, born in Ireland, works in "Works in Shirt Factory," sister-in-law, she is ill with "Fever & Ague."

1940 Census age 68, living at 55 Thompson Street, Milford, CT, plumber, but not working, finished 1st year of high school, owns house valued at $3,500. Wife Flora I. age 64, finished 8th grade, made $420 in previous year.

ANNIE O'HARA KALLENBACH
1900 Census age 17, born Feb. 1883, operator corset shop.
1920 Census age 34, living with mother/brother/sister, working as a machine operator.
1930 Census age 47, married to German immigrant 50 year old Herman R. Kallenbach, an inspector at a sewing machine factory, living in Fairfield, CT, house worth $5,500. The 17 year old son, Robert H. Kallenbach, listed as "step son," no doubt to Anna. Herman was first married at age 30, Anna first married at age 44. In 1920 Census Herman and Robert Kallenbach (ages 40 and 8) with 1st wife Minnie age 48.

1920 Census age 28, husband Vincent Barske also age 28 is a fireman at "boilers."
1930 Census age 40, husband Vincent Barske is age 39 and a salesman for a bakery.
1940 Census age 53, owns house worth $3,400, husband Vincent Barkse is age 48, is a pipe layer for the WPA, earned $1,000; her brother William is living with them.
