Celebration services for Mary Erwin Alexander, 87, of Frankston, are scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 24, 2008, at 2 p.m. at United Methodist Church of Frankston with the Rev. Doug Howell and Jerry Beard presiding. Burial will be in Frankston City Cemetery under direction of Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.
Mrs. Alexander passed away on Thursday, Feb. 21, 2008, in Frankston.
She was born May 12, 1920, in Bethel, Texas, to Hugh Urban and Rilla Odessa Skinner Bagwell. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Frankston, Order of Eastern Star, Blue Bell Chapter in Houston, and the Red Hat Society (Scarlet Ladies), Kickapoo Story League, and Frankston Garden Club and was a retired credit manager for Sears in Houston.
She is survived by a son, W. Lee Erwin and wife Pamela, Belton; daughter, Rilea Cook and husband Mike, Frankston; stepsons, Bill Alexander, Emerald Bay, and John Alexander, Jacksonville; stepdaughter, Joyce Shipp, Emerald Bay; brothers, George Bagwell, Chula Vista, Calif., and Gene Bagwell, Freeport; sister, Dot Eastup, Greenville; eight grandchildren, Kristen and Peter Kuczkowski, Wade and Stacy Cook, Trent and Nicci Cook, Bill and Lea Anne Erwin, Tommy Erwin, Mary Anne and Peter Hartley, Mark and Tiffany Alexander, Lance and Stacy Alexander; great-grandchildren, Kara, Katy and Will Kuczkowski, Emily, Jared and Baby Cook; aunt, Louise Darby, Sulphur Springs; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Wade Cook, Trent Cook, Bill Erwin, Tommy Erwin, Peter Kuczkowski and Peter Hartley.
Honorary pallbearers will be The Lunch Bunch.
Visitation with the family will be Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Autry Funeral Home, Frankston.
Memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice, Scholarship Fund United Methodist Women, or Camp Peniel, Marble Falls.
