Mr. Grady Dean Brewster, age, 75, husband of Bertie Wilson Brewster passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the AnMed Health Medical Center. Born in Anderson, SC on January 31, 1933, Mr. Brewster was a son of the late Henry Milton Brewster, Sr, and Alice Hayes Brewster. He attended Boys' High School and was a United States Air Force veteran, Airman Second Class. He founded Brewster's Used Cars in 1970 and was a member of Asbury Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, Bertie Wilson Brewster of the home; son, Tony Brewster and his wife Donna; daughter, Tami Whitt and her fiance Sidney Zimmerman; son, Kenneth Moore, all of Anderson; brother, Henry Brewster; sister, Lena Belle Brewster; seven grandchildren, Garrett, Grayson, Anna, Jonathan and Jeremy Brewster, Daniel and Brandon Whitt. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Keith Brewster; brother, James Brewster; sisters, Annie Black, Leona Bowen and Lavonia White and a granddaughter, Brooklyn Whitt.
The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of The McDougald Funeral Home officiated by the Reverend Scotty Hendricks. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park officiated by the Reverend Dr. Ray Grant. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:00-2:30 pm. The family will be at the residence.
Flowers are optional. Memorials may be made to Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home Van Fund, 4605 Belton Highway, Anderson, SC 29621.
