Birth: Dec. 9, 1882
Douglas County
Illinois, USA
Death: Jun. 3, 1980
Hendricks County
Indiana, USA

Dale Anderson was the son of John and Henrietta Anderson.

John and Henrietta were recorded in the 1880 census living in the village of Newman, county of Douglas, Illinois. They had one son at the time, William R, age 1. John was age 26, born in Ohio, and Henrietta was age 20, born in Illinois.

By the 1900 census Newman was called a city instead of a village. Henrietta was widowed. She had six children and all of them were still living, but only five of them were listed in the record. The family is recorded as follows: Henretta (misspelled in record), born October 1860, occupation washing clothes; William R, May 1879, broom maker; Earl W, March 1881, day laborer; Dale A, December 1882, day laborer; Nellie H, July 1887, student; and Lillian E, January 1890, student. All of the children were born in Illinois.

By 1904 Dale moved to Hendricks County, Indiana and married Mae Frances McCormack here on November 17, 1904. Their children included Horace (1907), Margaret (1910), Vivian (1913), Robert (1922) and one child, William Arden, who died between 1905 and 1910.

His obituary from the June 11, 1980 Brownsburg Guide:
