W.A. was the father of at least five children: James E. b. 1865 OH, Jane b. OH, Benson b. 1869 OH, Willie b. ?, d 1871, Wilbur b. 1872 IA d. ?and Leo O. b. 1876 IA. d. 1909. W.A. was a grain and lumber dealer in OH. Before 1900 he moved his family to IA. W. A. also dealt in general stock after moving to IA. His gravestone in Ivy Hill was recorded during a WPA project.
