Debora Ann "Meems" Aliano, 49, of Mount Clemens, died Friday, March 16, 2007, in her home. She was born Oct. 31, 1957, in Grosse Pointe.
Mrs. Aliano's family said she had a heart of gold and was a friend and confidant to the young and old, and a mom to everyone she met. Her door was always open as were her arms for a loving hug and her heart for healing love.
She was described as a wonderful homemaker who loved to cook. Her family said she loved God and all his creatures. She loved her children and was proud of them. The newest love in her life was her grandson, Gavin, who filled her heart with joy.
Mrs. Aliano was happy when she lived in northern Michigan where she and her family kept a loon watch on the nesting platforms of Lake Bedore for the Montmorency County Conservation Club.
Relatives said she was a mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, friend, a force and bright light in this life and will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her and her beautiful spirit. She will be missed more than her family can say. Her family said, "Shine on Deb."
She is survived by her mother, Margaret Forbes; children, Daniel, Robert (Lisa), Stephan and Paige; grandson, Gavin; siblings, Mary (Rob) Imesch, Michael (Mary) Aliano and Connie Provost; seven nieces and nephews; and was a great-aunt of one.
