The remains of Mrs. Lennie R. Blackwell, wife of A.P. Blackwell, arrived in Ripley Wednesday from Durant, Okla., where she passed away on August 10th.
She was laid to rest in St. Paul cemetery near Durhamville Wednesday afternoon. Her husband accompanied the remains here, they were met in Memphis by several relatives.
Deceased was a daughter of the late C.S.0. Rice, of Orysa, and was born and reared in that community, where she was held in high esteem and loved by all who knew her.
She had been living in Oklahoma the past few years.
