She moved to the United States in 1966, first to Bronx, N.Y. before finally settling in Levittown in 1969. Ethel was a dedicated member of Jehovah's Witnesses, Bristol Congregation. She was baptized July 19, 1986. Her strong faith gave her the possibility of resurrection in the new system of things, as we are living in the 'last' days. She enjoyed reading and talking extensively about her faith. She was kind, respectful and will be sorely missed by all. Ethel retired in 2004 after 32 years at Graham Packaging in Levittown, formerly Sonoco Graham, originally Boise Cascade. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Blake and Martha McBean; her husband, John Roberts; and her son, Richard Roberts. She is survived by her sister, Lillian Rose; brother, Harold McBean; children, Donna Palmer, Cecil Roberts (Ann), Vinnette Pritchard (Ernest), Lillian Morton (Angelo), Maurice Roberts, Marlon Chin, and Andrew Blake (Trish); grandchildren, Louis (Avigail) and Yolanda Malcolm, Luvon Griffin Jr. and David Roberts, Keandra and Sinclair Pritchard, Blair and Bryce Morton, Kolleen Britt, Tionna Bell, and Jalenah and Javien Blake; great grandchildren, Bria and Bryce Malcolm, and Joshua Laugy; several nieces and nephews; close family friends, Lisa Streeter, Phyllis and Pressley Middleton; all her 'brothers' and 'sisters' from the Kingdom Hall; and a host of friends. Please join us in celebrating her life during her memorial service at 5 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 20 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses Bristol Congregation, 3601 Green Lane, Levittown, PA 19057.
