Obituary for Isabel M. Pavano
Isabel M. (Zalaskas) Pavano, 93, of Guilford, formerly of Plainville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank C. Pavano, with whom she shared 34 years of marriage.

Mrs. Pavano was born in Carnegie, PA on February 22, 1917, one of four children of the late Joseph and Thecla Zalaskas. . Isabel was employed at the Hospital of Central Connecticut, the former New Britain General, as an EKG technician for over 20 years prior to her retirement at the age of 65. A longtime member of Our Lady of Mercy Church, she resided in Plainville for more than 60 years, moving to Guilford 7 years ago.

She leaves her daughter and son-in-law, Rita Marie and Patrick Dinneen of Guilford, with whom she made her home. She was predeceased by her daughter, Sandra Pavano Dulac, her brothers, William and Julius, and her sister, Mary Zalaskas.

A memorial Mass in celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Committal services will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville. Family and friends may gather prior to the Mass on Tuesday, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Bailey Funeral Home, 48 Broad St, Plainville. In lieu of flowers, Isabel may be remembered with contributions to Forgotten Felines, PO Box 734, Clinton, CT 06413.
