She married Rev. Geo. W. Baker Jan. 6, 1825, and they made their home in Marion from then on.
She along with her husband, were converted under the labors of Rev. D. Dudley and united with the Marion Free Will Baptist Church in 1827.
She was esteemed by many for her helpfulness in her husband's ministry. She endured lonliness and much privation when he was away on itenerant appointments, especially in their early years, while she cared for their six children, sometimes with limited means to supply their wants. She cheerfully and uncomplainingly served her family, allowing her husband's work to be crowned with success helping many people. She is commended for her unselfishness and love of God.
