Charles Clifton "Kip" Ash passed away on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at the age of 81. Kip was a Korean Veteran and retired from ACIPCO after 40 years of service. He was a NMA member and attended Cedar Grove Baptist Church. He enjoyed 20 years of retirement, playing golf and working on his farm. He had traveled in all 50 states as well as every county in Alabama. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lumous and Nora Ash; four brothers, Walter, Melvin, Mabron "Doc", and Freeman Ash; four sisters, Vera Moore, Callie Hall, Lena McBrayer and Aileen Talton. Mr. Ash is survived by his wife of 56 years, Theatis (Jackson) Ash; son Mike Ash, daughter, Belinda Glass (Steve), four grandchildren, Nick and Kate Ash, Dana Ozee and Shelby Glass; two sisters, Molcie Dobbs and Hester Weger; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services were Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 3:30 PM at Branchville Cemetery. Kilgroe Funeral Home, Leeds directed.
