OBITUARY
Mary Hepburn Ashley, died yesterday at the home of her son, W. G. Ashley, Third and Turner streets. Mrs. Ashley, who was past 74, was born in St. Lawrence county, New York, and crossed the plains in early life, coming to Olympia in 1877.
She is survived by one son, W. G. Ashley, of Olympia, one daughter, Mrs. Robert Davies, of Bucoda, one sister, Mrs. Maggie Tiffany, of Malden, Missouri, and 14 grandchildren.
The funeral will be held from the J. A. Gilbaugh chapel Friday, August 24, at 2 o'clock in the afternoon. Interment will be in the I. O. O. F. cemetery.
Daughter of Patrick Hepburn, 1776 - 1862, and Elizabeth Strobeck, ca 1817 - after 1880.
