Robert Clarence "RC" Barnes, 88, of Danville died March 29, 2006, at Callaway Community Hospital in Fulton. He was born April 23, 1917, to William and Clara (Hibbner) Barnes in Danville.
Mr. Barnes owned Barnes Implement Co. in Danville for more than 50 years. He also worked as a rodeo clown for many years and rode in parades. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by one daughter, Janetta Sampson of Mexico, Mo.; one brother, David of Williamsburg; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jeraldine Louise Reynolds; his parents; three brothers, Sam, Raymond and Virgil; and one sister, Kathrine Keith.
Services were April 1 at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City with burial in Williamsburg Cemetery.
