HOPE MILLS - Ronnie E. Musselwhite, 56, of Hope Mills, passed away Thursday, Nov. 26 2009, in Cape Fear Valley Medical Center after a long battle with cancer. Mr. Musselwhite attended South View Baptist Church. As well as being a member of the Cape Fear Team Corvette Club, Mr. Musselwhite was the former drummer with Cumberland Gap Band, and most recently with the Tommy Black and Blooz Band. Left to cherish his memories are his wife. Carolyn; son, Brian; daughter, Renee; four sisters, Evelyn, Sherry, Robin and Teresa; two brothers, Bobby and Billy; three granddaughters, Chelsea, Savannah and Peyton; and one grandson, Ray. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 tonight, Sunday, Nov. 29, 2009, at Rogers and Breece Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, in Rogers and Breece Funeral Home chapel with Pastor Brian Kinlaw officiating. He will be laid to rest in Cross Creek Cemetery No. 5. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Cape Fear Valley Cancer Center, 1638 Owen Drive, Fayetteville, NC 28304. Services entrusted to Rogers and Breece Funeral Home of Fayetteville.
