Baker Rites Held Sunday
Funeral services for C. T. Baker, 62, were held Sunday afternoon at the First Methodist church. The Rev. O. B. Herring, pastor, was assisted by the Rev. Alby Cockrell of Hereford. Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery under the direction of Wallace Funeral Home.
Mr. Baker, a painter, died Thursday in the Veterans Administration hospital in Dallas where he had been a patient for a short time.
He had been a Tulia resident for the past 14 years. He was a member of the VFW and the Methodist church. He was born Feb. 4, 1896, in Hillsboro.
He is survived by his wife, Myrtle, whom he married Aug. 28, 1927, in Midland; four daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Q. Johnson and Mrs. Jim Berg, both of Amarillo, Mrs. E. Burroughs of Borger and Miss Margaret Baker of Washington, D. C.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Steele of Waco; a half-sister,
Mrs. Leo West of Hillsboro; and four grandchildren.
