Sportswriter. It was his efforts that kept the Pacific Coast League's Sacramento Solons from moving to Tacoma, Washington. He died at a young age the next season, and shortly after a community effort changed the name of the Solons' home park from Doubleday Park to Edmonds Field. It was demolished in 1964, and is now the site of a Target store. Today he rests not far from the site of his namesake ballpark.
