Jesse W. Alexander, 72, of Sweetwater, Texas, passed away Monday, May 4th, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene, Texas.
He was born in Sweetwater, Texas on December 13, 1942, to J.W. Alexander and Bonnie Holt Alexander.

Following his high school graduation from Sweetwater High School, he attended the University of Houston on a football scholarship. Jesse was a brakeman/conductor for BNSF Railroad for 34 years, a union representative for BNSF, and an active member of the NRA. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, gardening, walking and weightlifting. Jesse married his loving wife, Brenda, on his birthday in 1984.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Alexander of Sweetwater, Texas; son Troy Hughes and wife Deb of Jonesboro, Louisiana; daughter Rebecca Alexander of Kansas City, Kansas; daughter Tracey Alexander-Shaw and husband, Kelly Allen of Sweetwater, Texas; and son Jason Boyd Alexander and wife Chrissie of Shawnee, Kansas; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; two sisters Marie McGuire and husband, J.D. of Donna, Texas, and Lola Clowers and husband Oliver of Sweetwater, Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents J.W. and Bonnie Alexander.

Honorary Pallbearers will be James Shelton, Richard Boyd, Pat Ivy, A.W. Kopfer, Mike "Beezer" Loudermilk, Sonny Armstrong and Gary Yazell.
