Everett married Margaret McDonald July 03, 1944, in Sequim, Washington.
Everett and Margaret had 3 children: William Gowdy, Robert Gowdy,and Kathy Gowdy.
Everett joined the U.S. Army in November of 1940, and served until 1945. He was stationed in Sequim, and went overseas to Europe with 44th Quartermaster Corps, and later served with 187th Field Artillery Battalion.
Everett returned to Sequim Washington, and was employed by Clallam County Highway Dept. as a heavy equipment operator was employed until his death almost twenty years.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and hiking; he also did painting and copper work as hobbies.
Services were held for Everett at the Trinity Methodist church of Sequim WA, with Rev Vincent Hart officiating.
He was buried at the Sequim View Cemetery, in Washington
state, and Harper Funeral Home provided services.
Pallbearers: Emmett Hawley, Frank Kirk, Ray Olsen, Firn Boggs, Ange Thomsen, and Tom Fatherson.
