UXBRIDGE -- Bernadette S. (Coelho) Akeley, 54, a plastic molder, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, in Milford-Whitinsville Regional Hospital, Milford.
Her husband, Waldo D. Akeley Jr., died in 1986. She leaves two daughters, Ellen M. Hudson of Mendon and Sharon B. Boucher of South Grafton; four sons, Carl E. Akeley of Ohio, Kirk D. Akeley of Linwood, Ansel D. Akeley of Connecticut and Jonathan C. Akeley of Woonsocket, R.I.; five brothers; six sisters; and nine grandchildren. A daughter, Dorothy S. Akeley of Uxbridge, died in 1965. A sister also predeceased her. She was born in Bristol, R.I., daughter of John and Mary (Pacheo) Coelho, and moved to Uxbridge in 1964. She attended Bristol schools.
Mrs. Akeley was a plastic molder 12 years for Tupperware Co., Blackstone and Grafton. She also worked for Knowlton Manor Nursing Home, Upton. She was a member of Franklin and Milford Counseling Associates.
The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, in Buma Funeral Home, 101 North Main St. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in the funeral home.
