JOHN L. SCHOENBERGER

John L. Schoenberger, 61, of R. R. 2, Fayetteville, died at 1:10 Friday afternoon at the Chambersburg Hospital, following a two-year illness.

Born on April 13, 1904, in Chambersburg, he was a son of the late John P. and Minnie Loope Schoenberger. He was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ.

Former owner of Schoenberger's Restaurant, 346 Lincoln Way East, which he operated for 28 years, Mr. Schoenberger retired a year ago due to ill health.

In addition to his wife, Mrs. Marian Evans Schoenberger, he is survived by a son, John E., of 1648 Scotland Ave.; a daugbter, Diane, of Baltimore; five grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Thomas R. West, of 805 S. Fifth St., and Mrs. Evelyn Scheible, of Plant City, Fla.

Funeral services wlll be held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the Sellers funeral home, with the Rev. Paul B. Lucas officiating. Burial will be made in the Lincoln Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the funeral home one hour before the services. The family has requested that flowers be Omitted.
