Ester Kristina Anderson of Raynham formerly of Chatham and Easton, passed away on November 9, 2012 at Life Care Center of W. Bridgewater. She was 94 years old. Mrs. Anderson was the wife of the late H. Russell Anderson. Ester was the loving mother of Laura A. Cornell and her fianc Daniel Murphy of Raynham and the beloved aunt of Kristina McGill of Easton. She was the step-mother of Jeanne Cervin of CT, Linda Limbos of PA and Joyce Gleasure of Ireland. Ester is survived by 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren in addition to a niece and nephew. Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her first husband Frank M. Cornell and her siblings the late John H. Anderson and Ruth V. Wry. Mrs. Anderson was born on May 17, 1918 in Brockton, the daughter of the late John O. and Emilia (Jacobson) Anderson. She grew up in Easton before living in Chatham for over 20 years and called Raynham home since 2007. Ester spent 5 years as the Chatham Chamber of Commerce Secretary and was in the Order of the Eastern Star in the Easton, Brockton and Chatham Lodges. Mrs. Anderson was a Mortgage Officer for North Easton Savings Bank for 25 years before retiring in 1972 where she was in the Savings Bank Womens Association. Mrs. Anderson also served as a Corporator for the North Easton Savings Bank. Ester spent 10 years as the Chatham Assistant Town Clerk. A graveside service was held at 10 am on Wednesday November 14th in South Easton Cemetery. There were no visiting hours.
