ROBERT "BOB" WAYNE GOMILLION
1951-2009
Robert Wayne Gomillion, beloved husband, father, "Papa" and friend, passed away at age 58 on April 4, 2009, and went home to be with the Lord.
He was born January 2, 1951, in Jay, FL, and graduated as class president of Jay High School in 1969. He furthered his education with an Accounting degree from Delta State University in 1977. He was a member of Mt. Carmel Methodist Church. He also was an avid Mississippi State fan and enjoyed attending the football games with friends Bill and Johnnie Bryan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wayne and Neva Gomillion and his brother John Gomillion.
Left to adore his memory is his loving wife and best friend of 34 years, Debbie Box Gomillion, two sons, Stephen (Michelle), and Chad (Ashton), grandchildren Tyler, Britny, Lani, and Brighton, Sister Patsy, Sister-in-law Shirley, and many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Jay Funeral Home on April 7, 2009, from 6pm-9pm. The funeral service will be held at Mt. Carmel Methodist Church on April 8, 2009, at 2pm.
We would like to thank the PCU Unit at Baptist Hospital for the loving care they gave our family. A special thank you to his loving, caring nurses: Lori, Wanda, Sophia, Lauren, and Pat.
