Maggie Lea Miller Hansen of Gautier, MS passed away June 24, 2012. Maggie will be remembered as a spirited and encouraging mother, grandmother and friend. She spent her early years in Bellamy, AL, before moving to the coast in the 1940s. She was an ardent gardener, enjoyed Braves' baseball and worked at Singing River Hospital for many years.
Mrs. Hansen was preceded in death by her husband Frank L. Hansen, parents Robert B. Miller and Maggie Lea Miller, two sisters Margarite Smith and Josephine Niles, two brothers W. Leslie Miller and Robert B. Miller, and one grandson Jacy K. Henderson.
Survivors are her daughters Cecelia (Hansen) Henderson of Upton, MA and Frankie Lea Hansen of Gautier, MS, and three sons: Roger Hansen (Faith) of Hurley, MS, Mark Hansen (Debbie) and Kerry (Tina) Hansen of Pascagoula, MS, a brother Walter (Doris) Miller of Sacramento, CA; six grandsons: Cody Henderson, Isaac Hansen, Lafeton Hansen, Ben Markland, Jeremy Rhodes, and Randall Rhodes; five granddaughters: Summer Henderson, Rachael Hansen, Emily Hansen, Bobbie Lea Hansen, and Samantha Jones. Three great grand children - Rileigh Hansen, Isabella Jones, and Jaylan Rhodes.
Visitation will be Tuesday June 26, 2012 from 10:00 to 11:00am at Heritage Funeral Home. Services will begin at 11:00am in the chapel at Heritage Funeral Home, with Bra. Nathan Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Machpelah Cemetery in Pascagoula, MS. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospice of Light 2012 Hwy 90 Suite 29 Gautier, MS 39553.
