Word was received here Saturday morning that Peter Bertrand of Green Bay had met with an accident which proved to be fatal at 10:15. Mr. Bertrand has been employed around the yards of the Chicago & North-Western at Green Bay and around the hour of seven Saturday morning was crushed between two cars. He was immediately taken to a hospital and a few hours later passed away.
Mr. Bertrand was born at Tonet and was nearly forty-eight years of age at the time of death. He was married to Josephine Vandenhouten at the place who preceded his death fifteen years ago.
Three children were born to this union, but one son, Henry of this village survives.
The funeral was held Tuesday morning from St. Martin's Catholic church in Tonet, and was largely attended by relatives and friends. His body was laid to rest in St. Martin's cemetery.
