A member of Hebron United Methodist Church, Buck was a retired barber and merchant. At the time of his passing, he had one son, Robert W. Alexander of Hartsville, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren. He and wife Martha had a son who died as a child, LeRoy D. Alexander, Jr. (b Apr 16, 1933 d Aug 12, 1934).

Funeral services are scheduled for 4 p.m Saturday, May 9, 1992, at Hebron Methodist Church. The Revs. Debra Griffis-Woodbury and Jerry Wingo will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery, directed by Norton Funeral Home of Hartsville.
Mr. Alexander was born in Lee County, a son of the late Weldon M. and Marie McKenzie Alexander.
