Carol Ann (Coventry) Alexander
September 22, 1938 - May 17, 2012

Hanford resident Carol Ann Alexander, 73, passed away May 17, 2012, in Hanford, after a courageous battle with cancer and Alzheimer's.

Carol attended Roosevelt High School class of 1956, in Fresno. Where she was Senior class Secretary, and a member of the Y-Debs rally committee and Job's Daughters. Soon after graduating Carol married Bob Alexander and settled in Fresno, Ca. In 1958 Bob and Carol moved to Hanford, where they remained until their passing.

Carol will be best remembered for spending time with her grandchildren, her cooking and gardening skills. Carol and her husband Bob loved to travel and spent time boating on the Delta and lakes around California, deer hunting in Utah, and RV'n in Baja, Mexico. Her grandchildren have fond memories of being included on some of the fishing trips. Carol also enjoyed playing bridge, sewing and needle point, reading romance novels, and taking early morning walks.
Carol is survived by her five children; Mark Alexander (Linda) of Elk Grove, Scott Alexander (Deleen) of Fresno, Catherine Castaneda (Adolph) of Hanford, Kyle Alexander (Erin) of Manteca, and Neil Alexander (Mindy) of Manteca; her brother Ken Coventry of Fresno and sister Lynn Tokash (Moby) of Johnson City, TN., nineteen Grandchildren and six Great-Grandchildren.
Preceding her in passing was her husband Robert Bell Alexander, daughter Karen Alexander, grand-daughter Cassidy Alexander, and her parents William and Alice Coventry

There will be no public services; Carol's family encourages friends and loved ones to take time to enjoy life and all that it offers. The Alexander/Castaneda family would also like to say Thank you to Dr Leon and staff, Emma Faulk from Compassionate Home Heath, and Kings Adult Day care for providing such exceptional care and compassion for our mother.
