PALOUSE, Wash., July 29. -- Mrs. Georgia Anna Anderson, 83, pioneer of Palosue and Whitman County, died today following an illness of several months duration.
Mrs. Anderson was born in Utah and in the early 1870s Mr. and Mrs. Anderson moved to Bitterroot, Mont. In 1881 they moved to Washington Territory by covered wagon, where they settled on a farm three miles west of Garfield. She had been a resident of Whitman County for 60 years.
She is survived by 10 children, Mrs. Clarissa McPheeters of Portland, Ore; Albert Jr., of Pullman; David and Patriae of Garfield; Ira of Wendell, Idaho; Paul of Potlatch; Mrs. Dorcas Hammond and Stanley of Palouse; Mrs. Barbara Rice of Moscow and Wesley of California; 28 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
