Rites Conducted In Itasca Sunday For Mrs. G. W. Armour
Last rites for Mrs. G. W. Armour, 87, of 509 N. King Street, Itasca, who passed away in a Hillsboro hospital Thursday, October 23, were conducted Sunday, October 26, at 3 p.m. from the Central Baptist Church in Itasca.
The pastor, Rev. W. J. Ballard, was the officiating minister.
Mrs. Mittie Wiley Armour was a native of Alabama. She was born July 24, 1882.
She grew to womanhood in Alabama coming to Texas about 1900, settling in the Itasca community.
She was married to G. W. Armour on March 17, 1902. Her husband preceded her in death on December 4, 1962.
The late Judge G. W. Armour served as peace justice of precinct 2 here for a number of years prior to his death.
Mrs. Armour was a long-time member of the Central Baptist Church of Itasca.
Interment was in the Itasca Cemetery under the direction of Hollingsworth Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were nephews of Mrs. Armour.
Survivors include a brother, Lucian Napps of Fort Worth, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Among other survivors is Albert Armour of Austin, who was reared by Mr. and Mrs. Armour.
