Corporal Allard was a member of the 38th Infantry Regiment 2nd Infantry Division. He was wounded by the enemy in South Korea on September 19, 1950 and returned to duty shortly thereafter. He was Killled in Action while fighting the enemy near Hoengsong, South Korea on February 19, 1951. Corporal Allard was awarded the Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, The Combat Infantryman's Badge, the Korean Service Medal, the United Nations Service Medal, the National Defense Service medal, the Korean Presidential Unit Citation and the Republic of Korea War Service Medal.
