Thomas F. Greenan Dies 3 Days After Wife; Double Rites Set
Thomas F. Greenan, 83, of 36 Faass Ave., died yesterday in the Benn Nursing Home after a long illness. His wife, the former Rose Agnes O'Connor [sic, Connors], died Monday in the same nursing home after a long illness. The couple was married in 1911 in Herkimer.
Mr. Greenan was born Nov. 22, 1876, in Ireland, son of Thomas and Mary McGuire Greenan, and came to this country when he was two with his parents. The family settled in North Adams, Mass. and later moved to Hoosick Fall, where he was educated.
He was employed by the Hart & Crouse Co., in Philadelphia, Pa, for 25 years and was in charge of the warehouse which was owned by Culbert Whitly Co. He later was employed by Brunner Manufacturing in Utica for 10 years. He was last employed by the former Savage Arms Corp. for 20 years until he retired several years ago. Mr. Greenan was a Roman Catholic. He leaves a sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Calahan, Drexel Hill, Pa.; a niece, Mrs. William Gallagher, Drexel Hill. A joint funeral service will be held at 8:30 tomorrow from the John S. Friedel Funeral Home, Court at York Sts., and at 9 from St. Patrick's Church, where a requiem high Mass will be offered. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, Rome.

Saturday from the Chapel of the John __Friedal Funeral Home, Court at York St. and from St Patrick's Church where a requiem mass was offered by the Rev. Francis Murphy. Bearers for Mrs. Greenan were Donald O'Connor, Raymond O'Connor, James Connors. James Murphy, William Green and Donald Race. Bearers for Mr. Greenan were Robert O'Connor, Edward O'Connor, Jr., William Vedder, Wiliam Stillwell Anthony Labuzzetta and James Fisher. Burial was made In the family plot in St. Peter's Cemetery. Rome, following the final absolution by the Rt. Rev. Msgr. Edward F. Buttimer The [unreadable] by Father Murphy, Friday evening, in the funeral home.
