Jewel A. Brown Bargainer, 99, of Lufkin, went to be with the Lord on August 19, 2010. Jewel was born February 22, 1911 in Clawson, Texas, to Ransom and Nancy Alice Jones Brown. Mrs. Bargainer was raised and spent most of her life in Clawson, Texas. She married the love of her life, Ralph Bargainer, on April 2, 1929, and they spent 60 years together. She was a homemaker and a sister who took care of her loving brother, the late Gordon Simmons Brown. She was the youngest of nine children and she saw many changes in life. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and being a caregiver. She was a member of Keltys Baptist Church.

Survivors include her nephews, A. D. Brown of Henderson; W. R. Brown of Huntsville; niece, Alpha Jo Condit Luckow, of Houston; and numerous great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bargainer and numerous brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be Matthew Kainer, Adam Kainer, Carson Kainer, Bryan White, Thomas Anderson and Corbett Anderson.

Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 22, 2010 in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Todd Partin officiating. Interment will follow in Gann Cemetery.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. before the service on Sunday at Gipson Funeral Home.
