Nov. 29, 1942 — July 4, 2006

Dorothy N. Bianco, of Lafayette, died of heart disease July 4, 2006, in Lafayette. She was 63.

The daughter of James Delmer Morrison and Ina Myrtle Kirkland Morrison, she was born Nov. 29, 1942, in Gurley, Ala. She married John Bianco Jr. in 1956 in Ottawa, Ill. They divorced.

Mrs. Bianco moved to Lafayette in 1998. A high school graduate, Mrs. Bianco was a homemaker, enjoyed writing and had several poems published. Mrs. Bianco was "giving and loving to all," her family said.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Bertie Byrd; and a brother, Junior Morrison.

Survivors include a son, John R. Bianco, of DeKalb, Ill.; a daughter, Tammy Petersen, of Lafayette; and five grandchildren.

Services have been held. Darrell Howe Mortuary, in Lafayette, handled arrangements.
