Isaac Paul Belcher, R. R. 4, Lebanon, died Friday, Jan. 9 (1970), at Witham Hospital in Lebanon. Mr. Belcher was 74 years old. He was born Jan. 19, 1895 near Lizton, the son of John and Elizabeth (English) Belcher. On Sept. 29, 1913, he was married in Lebanon to Media Owens, who survives. He lived in New Brunswick the past seven years. He had been a fence builder since he retired from farming seven years ago. He was employed at Presto Lite Company, Indianapolis, for 16 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church. Surviving besides the widow are seven children: Mrs. Kenneth Sullivan, R. R. 2, Lebanon; Mrs. Sam Scott, Indianapolis; Mrs. Aaron Merritt, Sheridan; Mrs. Ercel Merritt, R. R. 1, Pittsboro; Mrs. William Holland, Lebanon; Charles Wesley Belcher of Thorntown, and O'Emil Belcher, R. R. 4, Lebanon. Also surviving is a sister, Mrs. Ethel Carl of Lebanon, and 82 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services were at Russell & Hitch Funeral Home in Lebanon on Monday, Jan. 12. Rev. Russell Revell officiated. Burial was in Mt. Tabor Cemetery at Fayette.
