SOUTH MILLS, NC - John Anacko Jr, of 126 Keeter Barn Road, South Mills, NC, died Wednesday, August 20, 2003, at his residence.

Mr. Anacko, a native of Central Falls, RI, was the widower of Catherine Caughlin Anacko and the son of the late John Anacko Sr, and Agnes Bischok Anacko.

He was a retired aircraft mechanic from the Norfolk Naval Air Station and served in the US Navy Air Corps.

Mr. Anacko is survived by a daughter, Kathleen Anacko Stafford of the residence; a sister, Lillian Vaughn of Jamestown, RI; a brother, Walter Anacko of South Attleboro, MA; two grandchildren, Catherine Kelly Ewell and John Ryan Stafford; and two great-grandchildren, Abigail Morgan Ewell and Dane Stafford Ewell.

A memorial service was held at the residence on Sunday, August 24, 2003, at 4:00 pm.
