Waverly, Ohio - Services for Rev. Harrison McCain, 90, of Waverly Rt. 3, are to be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Waverly Church of Christ in Christian Union here, with Revs. Grover Blankenship and Donald Pfeifer officiating, and interment in Jacobs Cemetery in Scioto County. Rev. McCain died Saturday at Ross County Medical Center at Chillicothe after a long illness. A retired minister for the Church of Christ in Christian Union, he was ordained in Circleville in 1919, and was the oldest minister in the denomination. He wife, Effie Carley McCain, died June 27, 1977, and he is survived by a son, Rev. James McCain of Waverly Rt. 4; five daughters, Mrs. Henry (Hazel) Leeth of Chillicothe Rt. 8, Mrs. Sherman (Ruth) Davis of Waverly Rt. 3, Mrs. Louise Hatfield of Chillicothe Rt. 5, Mrs. Paul (Lucille) Washburn of Columbus and Mrs. Thomas (Helen) Dennis of Mechanicsburg; a brother, Dewey of Portsmouth; two sisters, Mrs. Daisy Noel of Lucasville and Mrs. Glen (Sylvia) Issac of Kokomo, Ind.; 19 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Boyer Funeral Home here from 2 to 8 p.m. today. The body is to lie in state at the church Tuesday from noon until the funeral hour.
