Horton Headlight, Th. 8 Sept 1988: Jeff Andrews

Jeff Andrews, 22, Everest, died Monday, Sept. 4, 1988, in a car fire south of Everest, Brown County authorities said.

The accidental death is still under investigation by the Brown County Sheriff's Department and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

Mr. Andrews worked at the Topeka Water Department.

He was born Jan. 5, 1966 at Horton, the son of John and Toni Schecher Andrews, and was graduated from Horton High School in 1984.

Survivors include his parents, John and Toni Andrews, Everest; a sister, Julie Andrews, Topeka; and a grandmother, Nina Andrews, Everest.

Services were at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Maple-Chaney-Blay Mortuary in Horton. Burial was in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery at Mercier. Contributions may be made to the Jeff Andrews Memorial Fund to be designated at a later date and left at the mortuary.
