Mary A Trapp, was the second child of Martin Trapp Jr and Jemima Dodson and wife of William George Allison. Mary and William were married near Dover in Lillard (now Lafayette) County, Missouri on November 15, 1822. William George Allison was the son of John Alexander Allison (1772 - 1851) and Rachel Anne Barnes (1786 - 1846).

Mary's siblings were: Sarah Trapp (Henderson), Nancy Trapp (Linville), Lewis Trapp, Keziah L. Trapp (Johnson), John Trapp, Mahalia Jane Trapp (Nave), William R. Trapp, Martin Billings Trapp and Docia Ann Trapp (Allison).

William and Mary had the following children:
Jemima Allison [Gauldin] (1826 – 1847)
Rachel Allison [Brown] (1827 – 1926)
Lewis Marion Allison (1829 – 1884)
Martin Trapp Allison (1830 – 1852)
Sarah Allison (1832 – 1832)
James Henry Allison (1834 – 1914)
Nancy Adeline Allison [Johnson] (1837 – 1905)
John William Allison (1839 – 1924)
Mary Rowena "Roann" Allison [Ham] (1844 – 1863)

Information supplied by Betty L. Allison, great-granddaughter of John Allison and Dicy Trapp, Dicy was Mary's sister.

From information obtained from The Black Cemetery from 2 June 1968; Graves- markers now disappeared.
Another transcription of her work states that although the markers have now disappeared, other Allison Family members are known to be buried here, and have been checked thru several concurring sources of family tradition.

Gravesite Details

Her grave marker has been lost. Burial was on the home farm next to or close to the Sugar Creek Church and Cemetery.
