Richfield, Utah - Our kind and beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt and cousin, Melanie Lynn Daniels Layton, age 46, was tragically taken from us September 11, 2014 in Sevier County, Utah. Our hearts are troubled, but now we know she is at peace. She was found November 13, 2014.
Melanie was born April 14, 1968 in Hayward, California, a daughter of Merle Lloyd and Ruth Ellen Coleman Daniels. She married John Layton, May 11, 1998 in Elsinore, Utah. They were later divorced.
Melanie was a member of the LDS Church. She enjoyed crocheting, camping, dancing, reading and spending time with her family.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Richfield City Police Department, the Sevier County Sheriff's Department, and any other that may have been involved, for all their time and efforts spent searching for our dear Melanie. Thanks for not giving up and continuing in your search in helping us come to a final closure. We will never forget what you have done for our family.
