Stating his working career at an early age, he moved to Houston and worked as a truck driver for Atlas-Bradford. His boss was kind enough to let him off work to return to Louisiana to marry his childhood sweetheart, Theresa Cormier.
In 1958, Malcolm and his family joined his in-lwas on a journey to San Diego to seek better opportunities for his family. He worked for Fed Mart Stores and Fox Theaters for almost 20 years. He was later employed by Vons Distribution Warehouse for several years, from which he retired. Recently Malcom had been employed by Costco.
Malcom and Theresa were blessed with six children; Joe, Peter, Patrick, Yvonne, Chris and Stephen. He was also blessed with 11 grandchildren. Malcom loved his family and enjoyed coaching little league baseball, bowling, barbequing and "meeting his cousins up the hill". Malcom always had a story to share or an opinon to give. He was confident and a loving man who willingly shared turkeys at Thanksgiving and fixing cars for the young ladies in his family.
Malcom was a devoted Catholic and attended St. Rita's Catholic Church for over 45 years. He served as a Eucharistic Minister as he faithfully praised God.
Malcom will be missed by all of those who know him.
